Abounding Media believes that communication is one of the chief responsibilities of the local church and its members. Jesus Christ commanded his disciples to preach; to proclaim after the manner of a herald. He also commanded us to make disciples. This means mass and individual, personal communication of Biblical truth is required of those committed to Him.

The internet is one of the best tools we have today for potentially fulfilling both of these commands. We believe it should be used in a principled and creative manner for Christian outreach and exhortation.

We also realize the limitations of online ministry. Many technologies have been considered a be-all, end-all solution for dispatching our Great Commission duties. They were not – and it is not.

The clear presentation of God’s word in preaching, personal witnessing and discipleship should never be reduced or replaced in favor of online communication. The internet should instead be the means of initiating, advancing or facilitating these endeavors.

Churches and individual believers have many wonderful opportunities for connecting with people online. We also have a simple and inexpensive mechanism for distributing information, providing resources and presenting a consistent testimony. Internet media has tremendous potential for those committed to “abounding in the work of the Lord.”

We want to produce and help others develop internet media that is imagined, planned and created to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
